2D Animate

For this blog post, I’ll be showcasing the floral cafe brand I have created, named petaldrip.

Storyboard

A lot changed from the storyboard to the final interactive animation. I was very ambitious with the storyboard and realised the animation would be too long to include all the content I wanted. So, for the final piece, I shortened and simplified it.

The final animation reveals the style and atmosphere of the Petaldrip brand. To maintain the soft and calm feel, I ensured that all the shapes I created were rounded and appeared sketchy, conveying a more welcoming atmosphere. I used all five of the brand’s colours in the animations, featuring two variations of green, red, and beige. I drew inspiration from cafe shops that design their windows with decals for my coffee house store, incorporating numerous images of plants and flowers throughout the store to further emphasise the floral theme. The Petaldrip logo is on bold display on the left window as well.

For the interactive buttons, I included two in the end that brought up menu information about the different floral coffee petal drip providers and some background on the brand and what they wish to provide for the customers.
