Self-Promotional Image Poster

For this blog post, I will creating two promotional poster that showcase my own skills, likes and subtle information about myself.

Obscurity Exhibition Poster

Obscurity photography Exhibition. Photographs I shot in 2020.

In this promotional poster, I have displayed my own shots that I’ve taken to highlight my love for photography.

I wanted to focus on the style and ambience these Street photographs create. The post-production of these shots is to fabricate a ghost-like feel and accentuate a dingy look. The added deep red rectangles and squares brings a pop of colour and warmth to this overall poster. I blended the shapes into the image to fabricate a sombre atmosphere.

I named this imaginary exhibition obscurity, meaning the unknown and unimportant. I used this for this street photography layout to show how ordinary we find everyday life and things, the streets and building are walked past and deemed unimportant, however they have their own beauty. This exhibition is to exposes the supremacy of the trivial things in life. These shots are dated for 2020, a time where enjoying the unimportant things was all you could do.

Graphics ID Poster

For this promotional poster, I aimed to play on the layout of an ID card. Using my own for guidance. I have fabricated my own Graphics Identification card, whilst highlighting my own likes and style. This card has potential to become a business card as well for graphic design work.

I kept the basic layout of my own ID card and added my own flare to it. I included tiny details of myself on the card and a subtle photograph of myself. I designed the background in a fun wavy style with pinks and blacks to produce a more girly and livelier feel, since IDs are always boring and dull.

There’s basic information about myself, numbered on the card, using the same method as a real identification card. Along with my signature. Overall, this poster was a way to display myself and my skills in a fun-loving and unserious manner.
